I used bold font for the headings and the title of the zine to capture the attention that zine will share to the audience. However, I wanted to carry the theme of something lost or lost science files as it’s something that the public don’t really talk about that often. The body text are mono type to correspond with science theme. The use of boxes is to simply highlight and emphasize the different timelines the zine walkthroughs. The use of orange, black, and beige are to create a challenge to produce a product that can stand on it’s own without including many colors to absorb.

Conclusion

The zine and the website were challenging projects to produce, but had lots of fun on designing on a topic I used to have fear of, SHARKS! During my research phase, the more I learned about sharks, the more I want produce something that would bring awareness to these aquatic animals. It was out of my comfort zone learning about the sharks’ habitats and expanding my vision through the world of graphic design.
